01 Jan Announcing! Leadership Transition

Dear Friends,

I have exciting news: As of our recent Board Meeting, my daughter, Angie Johnson, was unanimously voted President of PROLIFE Across AMERICA. I will now be assisting her as President Emerita.

This leadership change has been in the planning and prayerful stages for several years. It truly is a blessing to our continued effort and vision. The transition also allows me more time to travel and present on issues near and dear to me: Faith, Family and PROLIFE Across AMERICA.

Angie comes with a vast professional experience, including serving as the marketing manager for a major health organization, and then on PROLIFE Across AMERICA’s staff since 2015. She is uniquely equipped with a thorough knowledge of the latest technology, and her creative skills bring a new freshness to our life-saving outreach! Angie is also a wife and mother of seven children.

Never did we dream 36 years ago, when my husband John and I began this organization as a ‘kitchen table’ effort with Mike and Dorothy Fleming, that it would expand to become nationwide. 

Our vision was a Pro-life Media Mission to counter the dominant secular media, and a well-funded abortion industry (which received $792 million in federal tax dollars last year!). Our Goal was simple: To broadcast the Truth about the developing baby in the womb. 

It began in 1989 as PROLIFE MINNESOTA with 42 Billboards. Who would believe that first fledging effort would change hearts and save a baby’s life? But it did.

“I’m scheduled for an abortion, but I can’t stand to drive by that Billboard on my way to work and go through with it,” the young mother confided to a pro-life pregnancy counselor in St. Paul. Our first baby saved!

We were soon tagged ‘The Billboard People’ as each year our Media Mission expanded – along with a name change to PROLIFE Across AMERICA – thanks to supporters like You. 

Since those early days, there have been countless mothers and babies saved from the devastation of abortion because of our tender and touching Billboard, Radio, and Internet Ads offering Hope and a Hotline of Help (which today receives over 600 calls per month). 

None of this would have been possible without faithful supporters like You, who partner with us in our ongoing Media Mission.

Please pray for our continued efforts to broadcast the Truth, and please pray for Angie, as she leads us on in the years to come.
